Cloak of Invisibility

I have this super power

oN Sunday mornings especially

I can Venture in and out of service

wIth no one

really Seeing me

in I go to seek, praIse and pray

But before anyone knows it

I’ve gone and dIsappeared away

Preacher says to beLieve

in the Impossible

Momentarily my hearT dances with hope

Until service’s end swiftlI’ll go

. . .

A teary Choke breaks forth from within

As I tear out of the parking Lot

Through the rearview, I saw him running tOwards me as if to say

“WAIT!”

The someone who saw through my cloaK of invisibility
